Magritte’s house and studio in the suburb of Jette are also open to the public, and include an exhibition of over 400 works of art and biographical documents. Many private collectors, as well as public and private institutions have contributed to the Musée Magritte Museum project by lending their masterpieces. RENÉ MAGRITTE MUSEUM (JETTE) © OPT / JP Remy Museum set up in the house where the famous Belgian painter lived and worked for a period of 24 years. Apart from the furnished apartment and the workshop in the garden, a number of original works are exhibited, together with some hundred personal objects and documents. 19 rooms are accessible to the public.
